With the REVO®-E series, Spheros offers a modular system comprising three fully electric rooftop air conditioning units – REVO®-E R290, REVO®-E HP R744, and REVO®-E Global – designed to suit all types of buses and climate zones worldwide.
Spheros is actively shaping the future of bus air conditioning by integrating natural refrigerants such as R290 and R744, while continuing to offer efficient solutions using conventional refrigerants. All product lines are interface-compatible and available in various performance classes. With the REVO®-E R290 and REVO®-E HP R744, Spheros complies fully with the current F-Gas Regulation as well as upcoming PFAS restrictions, providing manufacturers and operators with maximum fl exibility and long-term security.
Eco-friendly, safe, global: REVO®-E R290 sets a new standard in bus air conditioning
The REVO®-E R290, a fully electric and emission-free rooftop air conditioning system using natural refrigerant R290, is celebrating its world premiere.
This new product line is designed to meet the requirements of all bus types and sizes in all climate regions – even extremely hot environments. A range of optional functions can be integrated depending on requirements, including a heat pump, battery and component cooling, frontbox connection, and heat recovery. The system is fully interface-compatible with other Spheros models such as REVO®-E Global and REVO®-E HP R744.
The REVO®-E R290 will go into series production in the fourth quarter of 2026 and is equipped with a certified safety concept. With this, Spheros sets new benchmarks in sustainability, safety, and energy efficiency.
A new solution for clean climate control: REVO®-E HP R744 GEN2 – now also for coaches in moderate climates
The fully electric REVO®-E HP R744 has been using the natural refrigerant R744 exclusively since 2021. It was specifically developed for buses with alternative drives and provides efficient climate control and high heat pump capacity with low energy consumption – especially in moderate climate zones.
An optimized architecture and new components enable a flat design, making the REVO®-E HP R744 GEN2 an ideal climate control solution not only for city buses, but now also for coaches. The system can optionally be equipped with integrated battery cooling for enhanced functionality.
10 years of expertise: now bundled in the new REVO®-E Global GEN2 (FGAS)
The fully electric REVO®-E Global builds on nearly a decade of field experience in international bus markets. Now, the second generation of this product line is being launched, offering 20% higher efficiency and 10% more cooling capacity compared to its predecessor – thanks to optimized components and intelligent system control. An optional battery thermal management (BTM) system can also be integrated.
Thanks to its modular design and a wide range of additional features, the REVO®-E Global GEN2 is ideally suited for global applications and offers tailored solutions for all bus types and climate zones.
Spheros E-Cooler BTM: All-in-one solution for maximum efficiency
Spheros has been a pioneer in battery cooling since 2014, when it introduced the original E-Cooler for hybrid and electric buses. Now, with the E-Cooler 100 BTM, Spheros presents a high-efficiency battery thermal management system with a cooling capacity of 10 kW, suitable for a wide range of vehicle applications.
Equipped with active and passive cooling, a heating circuit, a central coolant pump, and all essential components, the E-Cooler 100 BTM is a compact, true standalone solution and is already available in series production.
